Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 2, 2026

RideBuilder is built for car enthusiasts to learn, build, compare, and share — whether you're brand new to mods or deep into your tenth build. These guidelines exist to keep the community helpful, safe, accurate, and welcoming to enthusiasts of all experience levels.

By using RideBuilder's community features, including forums, build pages, comments, reviews, and other interactive features, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines.

1. Be helpful, respectful, and constructive

Car enthusiasts come from all backgrounds and experience levels. Treat others with respect and keep feedback constructive. We all have something to learn and are here to share in our love of cars.

2. No hate, harassment, bullying, or threats

We do not allow hate speech, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats of any kind. RideBuilder has a zero-tolerance policy for these behaviors.

3. Safety comes first

Car modifications can have real-world safety consequences. Share advice responsibly and include relevant context, limitations, and warnings when appropriate. Do not promote, encourage, or provide instructions for illegal street racing, reckless driving on public roads, evading law enforcement, or other dangerous or illegal actions.

4. Keep content accurate and honest

RideBuilder relies on trustworthy information. Do not knowingly post false, misleading, or fabricated claims, especially when related to product reviews, compatibility, installation, safety, performance, or results.

5. No spam, scams, or malicious activity

Do not post spam, scams, repetitive promotions, or malicious links. Link shorteners are not allowed due to their ability to disguise harmful links. Posts with link shorteners may be removed.

6. Respect privacy and personal information

Respect the privacy of other users and third parties. Do not share someone's personal information without their consent. This includes a user's address, phone number, workplace or school, private photos, VINs, license plate, or other identifying details. When sharing photos of vehicles, be mindful of visible plates, addresses, or other identifying information.

7. Respect intellectual property

Only post content that you own, created yourself, or have permission to use. This includes profile photos, banners, vehicle photos, product images, logos, videos, written content, and other media. Do not upload or share copyrighted images, trademarks, or other intellectual property without permission. If you believe your intellectual property has been posted without permission, contact us so we can review it.

8. Keep content appropriate

Please do your part to ensure that RideBuilder stays appropriate for all audiences. Do not post pornography, sexually explicit content, gore, extreme violence, or excessive profanity.

9. Businesses, creators, and self-promotion

Businesses, creators, shops, brands, and service providers are welcome on RideBuilder, but participation must be relevant, transparent, and respectful. We encourage you to share your products, services, content, or expertise when it genuinely contributes to the conversation.

You may not spam advertisements, misrepresent your relationship to a product or brand, pretend to be an ordinary customer if you are affiliated with a business, use fake accounts to promote products, or post misleading claims about competitors. If you have a financial, employment, affiliate, sponsorship, promotional, or other material relationship with a product, brand, retailer, service, or creator, you must clearly disclose it.

10. Disclose AI-generated content

AI-generated text, images, video, or other media must be clearly disclosed when posted. Do not use AI-generated content to mislead others, impersonate real people, fabricate reviews, fake product results, or create deceptive build content.

11. No impersonation

Do not impersonate another person, company, creator, brand, shop, or RideBuilder representative. Do not use usernames, profile photos, bios, or content that falsely suggest affiliation, endorsement, or identity.

12. Follow the law

Do not use RideBuilder to promote, coordinate, or facilitate illegal activity. This includes, but is not limited to, theft or sale of stolen parts, fraud, illegal street racing, evading law enforcement, or unlawful tampering with required safety or emissions equipment.

Discussion of motorsports, off-road use, track use, vehicle regulations, or compliance issues is allowed when framed responsibly and legally.

13. Report problems

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it. Reports help us keep the community safe, accurate, and useful. Do not abuse reporting tools to target users, competitors, or opinions you disagree with.

14. Moderation and enforcement

RideBuilder may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users when necessary to protect the community. Enforcement may include warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans. Serious violations, including threats, harassment, scams, doxxing, or dangerous activity, may result in immediate removal or account termination.

15. Guidelines may change

RideBuilder may update these Community Guidelines as the platform grows. Continued use of RideBuilder's community features means you agree to the latest version of these guidelines.
